Ath-Liag – the Ford of the Flagstones – is a wonderful town for a County Fleadh. Ten years ago since the Fleadh was last held here and as its the first Fleadh of the season the hard-working Athleague committee set about ensuring the success of the week-end.

- Pecker Dunne Tribute Concert in Cois na hAbhna

Paddy “Pecker” Dunne is one of the last of the great travelling musicians and balladeers. He has played with The Dubliners and The Fureys, with Christy Moore and with Shay Healy and has composed many songs including “Sullivan’s John” which was a big hit for Ronnie Drew back in the sixties.

Young musicians of the Youghal branch are celebrating success at Feis Matiú. This was the first year Irish traditional music was included as part of the programme.

- Ballyduff Summer Seisiún Show

“The Booley House” traditional entertainment show, run by Ballyduff/Ballinvella/Ballysaggart Comhaltas Branch, is hosted every Summer on the Wednesday nights of July and August. In 2008 they featured on RTE’s “Nationwide” programme, RTE Radio 1’s “Céilí House” as well as BBC TV Northern Ireland’s travel series “Around Ireland in 80 Days”.
