The Admiral William Brown Branch – On August 5th last, the Admiral William Brown Branch hosted the monthly get-together in honour of our late friend J.J. O’Hara, and as usual, our tribute was with traditional Irish music and dance.
The meeting took place in Cruzat Beer House in BA city centre, the pleasant atmosphere of the pub helped the good chat, and encouraged us to develop the forever standing motto “music & friendship”. The session started on time. Members and friends attended the meeting, as well as Mr. Guillermo Fajardo from the Rosario Irish Society, Santa Fé Province. He knew J.J. and kindly decided to join us in this occasion.
After some reels and jigs we made a hearty toast to J.J and then gave away commemorative pins with the Argentine & Ireland flags, recalling this good practice J.J used to do when visiting Buenos Aires. We consider that was a good way to remember his great work for the brotherhood between our countries. This branch is part of his dreams, and through music and dance and with good craic, we will continue working!
