We are extremely sad to announce the passing of Comhaltas Projects Officer Brian Prior, fiddle player, colleague and friend. All of us at Comhaltas are extremely saddened by the loss, and the Irish musical community has lost a great and generous heart. He will be be missed in so many contexts, including at the sessions he started in Monkstown and Ennis, his Foinn Seisiún workshops at Fleadh Nua and so many others.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Anne and the rest of his family.

Comhaltas is sad to report that the death has occurred of David Robert Beaumont Simpson of Canada, Omagh, Co. Tyrone and Mount Merrion, Dublin.
