The 2009 Scottish Fleadh will take place in Taylor High School, Motherwell from April 24th to 26th.
On Friday 24th April the Fleadh Céilí will take place in the Hibernian Social Club, Newarthill, Motherwell from 8.00 pm to midnight. Tickets are available from Allison Cullen on 01698 733137. Cost for tickets is £4.00 (adults) and £2.00 (children).
On Saturday 25th April we are hosting a series of tutorial workshops which will be run by our Fleadh adjudicators. These will take place in Taylor High School, New Stevenston, Motherwell from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm. On the Saturday evening a traditional session is being held in the Post Public Bar, Calderbank, Airdrie from 8.30 pm to midnight with our visiting adjudicators and local musicians.
Finally the Fleadh competitions will take place on Sunday 26th April commencing at 10.00 am in Taylor High School, New Stevenston, Motherwell. Entry is £5.00 per adult and £3.00 per child.
Anyone wishing to enter one of the competitions at a County Fleadh Cheoil must submit their entry form to the Fleadh Secretary not later than 21 days before the Fleadh date. Entry forms can be downloaded from the Comhaltas website.
