Dear Members and Friends of the West London Branch of Comhaltas,
Apologies for the disruption to our usual monthly sessions but, as the Hammersmith Irish Cultural Centre has been closed for refurbishment, we’ve found ourselves somewhat homeless.
We’re delighted to say that a venue has agreed to host us for free so we’ve picked up with our usual 2nd Friday of the month session, starting at 8.30 p.m. The address is as follows: The Shamrock Social Club, 307a Horn Lane, London W3 0BP. It is easy to miss the narrow long lane leading to the club. It’s the sort of rough lane you might find leading to a breaker’s yard, but if you carry on you’ll find the welcoming club and a lovely sports field.
Nearest stations: Acton Mainline station + North Acton + West Acton
As ever, everyone is welcome to come along and perform or listen.
Please spread the word to those who aren’t on email to ensure everybody knows about the new venue. We hope many of you can make it along to support the Branch’s musicians.
