Features

This branch which is in continous existence since the early 1970’s, was previously named “Craobh Séan Mhic Dhiarmaida” after the 1916 Proclamation signatory from Killtyclogher, hometown of the renowned Lennon family. The name change was made some five years ago to give recognition to the area where the music classes are held. Cluáinín (Uí Ruairc) is the name ‘as Gaeilge’ for Manorhamilton. The branch, if not unique, is most unusual in that for the last fifty years one individual, native to the town, plays traditional Irish music. The branch will host the County Fleadh 2007 with assistance from Craobh Gleann Fhearna (Glenfarne) end of April 2007.
