Fleadh Nua - Press Launch

Join us in Glór Irish Music Centre tonight (Tuesday, 17th February) at 8.00pm for the Press Launch of Fleadh Nua 2009.

Fleadh Nua will take place in Ennis, Co. Clare from 17th to 25th May.

In the year 2009 we celebrate 40 years of this great Irish traditional festival. Headline acts will include Super Trad Group “The Chieftans” in concert in Ennis Cathedral on Wednesday, 20th May.

Add to this a week-long series of events including Aos Óg & Hounds of Ulster in Glór concert on Friday night, Kilfenora Céilí Band Centenary concert, also in Glór, on Saturday night, free lunchtime concerts, traditional session workshops, nightly Club Fleadh Nua plus céilí and set dancing, street sessions and gig-rig entertainment and there’s no doubt that Ennis is the only place for all followers of Irish culture to be during the third week in May 2009.
