Features

The Craobh Naithí Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann is based in South Dublin, centered around the Churchtown, Ballinteer, Dundrum and Rathfarnham areas.

Craobh Naithí is dedicated to the promotion of traditional Irish music, song and dance. To pursue our aims, we organise an extensive range of classes for our junior and adult members, featuring well known experienced tutors. Classes run each Thursday night between September and May. This year, we have moved from our old home in BCS to St. Colmcille’s Community School in Firhouse. The ongoing successes of our pupils, in the various Fleadh Cheoil competitions, both individual and groups, bears testimony to the quality of the tuition.

Each year we organise a number events, including a music workshop in October, a supper ceilí, and numerous sessions and concerts. In addition to trips within Ireland, Craobh Naithí has run a number of trips abroad to Germany, Brittany and Scotland.

If you like Irish Music, why not browse our website, or e-mail us for more information. Who knows, you might even decide to join in the Craic…………
