Regular Seisiuns on Friday Night: Finuge also provides an outlet to keep our Irish Culture and Heritage alive at Sheehans Thatched House various Friday nights throughout the year where people can come to play music, sing, tell stories and exchange songs and tunes. Locals and visitors alike are welcome.

Finuge is a traditional Irish crossroads village located just outside Listowel Town with a shop, a pub, Sheehan Thatched House, Teach Siamsa and a G.A.A. pitch.

The Thatched Cottage is regarded as one of the oldest surviving authentic thatched houses in Ireland. Conservation experts estimate it at least 300 years old.

Finuge is also home to Teach Siamsa, (currently being renovated) where traditional music, song, dance is in abundance and one cannot help but get involved in the ceol agus craic.

Finuge celebrates one of its own local heroes each year at the Sean Mc Carthy weekend, a local musician and songwriter who inspired many from near and afar and whose great love of Irish rural tradition has brought many a visitor to the village.
