ComhaltasLive #206 - 1: Denis Liddy
The Meitheal Residential Summer School takes place in Limerick from 16th to 29th July, 2007. Established as a Comhaltas initiative in 2004 the school has already proved to be an outstanding success with renowned concert flute player Garry Shannon as co-ordinator. Fiddle player Denis Liddy, who is one of the 2007 tutors, plays a selection of reels on fiddle with guitar accompaniment by Rob Shearer. They play two reels composed by Michael Hynes called “Farewell to Philip Lane” and “Shanghai Seanachie”.
