ComhaltasLive #208 - 1: Michael O’Connell
Button accordionist Michael O’Connell was one of the many artists who delighted the large audience at the concert in the Irish Centre in Hammersmith on Friday 27th April. The concert celebrated the 50th anniversary of the founding of the West London Branch of Comhaltas. Michael, who played this selection of reels, won the All-Ireland Senior Accordion in the 1980s, a few years after his uncle Tom O’Connell (also living in London and originally from West Limerick) had won it.
