ComhaltasLive #212 - 5: “Fingal”
The group Fingal formed in 2006 consists of three of the best-known traditional Irish musicians: button accordionist James Keane, fiddle player Randal Bays and guitarist Daithí Sproule. James is playing the new “Castagnari Keanebox” (called after James’ website), 3 voice B/C accordion. The group has been in huge demand and can be contacted at www.jameskeane.com. They play three reels: “Land of Sunshine” composed by New York accordionist Martin Mulhaire (which is this week’s Tutorial), “Capel Street” and “Hughie Travers”.

Great stuff lads! Music is still strong here in Drimnagh, by the way, James. a handful of young musicians are around the Drimnagh and Crumlin area and I’m on Errigal Road myself.

What A lovely style ,well done lads and to Willie Fogarty for recording some mighty music in this series
