ComhaltasLive #225 - 1: Scoil Éigse Tutors
Scoil Éigse at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Tullamore 2007 was attended by a record number of over 800 participants from Ireland and overseas who received expert tuition from over 60 Master Tutors. Scoil Éigse concluded with a concert recital by the tutors in different combinations. This is a selection of jigs, including the 4-part version of “The Monaghan Jig”, played by Maria Lynn McHugh (piano), Tommy Doherty (button accordion), John McHugh (fiddle), John McEvilly (fiddle), Michael Hurley (flute) and Shane Mulcrone (banjo.)
