ComhaltasLive #230 - 1: Session with Mick O’Connor and Oliver Divinney
Another great street session at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2007 in Tullamore with a selection of reels led by well-known London banjo player Mick O’Connor and Co. Galway box player Oliver Divinney. The reels include “Ball Harbour” (or “Paddy Reynolds Reel”), “The Flax in Bloom” and “Come West Along the Road”. Incidentally, many of the musicians featuring in sessions and competitions at the Fleadh will be taking part in two great concerts in November 2007:
- Memorial Concert for the late Phelim O Raghallaigh on Friday, 9th of November in Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim, Co. Meath. For tickets call 086 382 1339.
- West Limerick Radio Concert in Abbeyfeale on Friday, 16th of November. Tickets available from the Radio’s Trad programme presenter Jacqui O’ Connor at 087 750 0049. Concertina player and story-teller Jacqui is also a member of Ceoltóirí na Sionnaine.
