Another of the highlights of ComhaltasLive 2007 was this selection of reels played by Orlaith McAuliffe, commencing with “The Moving Cloud.” This recording was made at The Irish Centre in Hammersmith where the West London Comhaltas 50th Anniversary Concert took place on 27 April, 2007.

I’m not sure how many times I’ve watched this video, or how many times I will. Her playing is quite an inspiration for me, and I’m sure quite a few other people too. I’m amazed at how many people at my age can play like this, right up there with the best of the players, and only around the ages of 12-16! I hope I can get to her level someday.

We make every young aspiring flute player that walks through the door listen to this amazing young talent and they can’t beleive their eyes or ears. I hope she knows what an inspiration she is to so many young flute players (old ones too) here in the States, thank you for sharing your music God Bless You
