A selection of jigs for a rare performance of the the brush dance by John Collins. The music is provided by fellow West Limerick musicians John and Willie Larkin (banjo and accordion), Patricia Wright and Anita Deely (fiddles) and Aileen Dillane on piano.
This music was recorded at the special concert of West Limerick music organized by the Munster council of Comhaltas at the Munster Fleadh in Newcastlewest, Co. Limerick in July 2007.

Not so rare any more! go to any set dance weekend/summer school and someone will do a brush dance - and it won’t be as tame as this example. Whats with the hands by the sides? Obviously a competition step dancer.
