ComhaltasLive #275-1: Niall Ó Murchú at the All-Ireland fiddle competition

Niall Ó Murchú of the Ring of Gullion Comhaltas, Co. Armagh plays a jig in the Under-18 fiddle competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. Niall took 2nd place in the competition, held in Tullamore, Co. Offaly in August 2008.

Comhalatas has come a lomg way when we can celebrate and appreciate the talent of our youth at AllIreland Fleadh in our front room. Nice to see 2nd place getting the limelight. what inspiriation this creates for our younger peers

this is a jig that i got from the playing of brid harper and john regan. its a josephine keegan tune called only for barney.
