The name of the hornpipe is “Cross the Fence”.
The performances by the young artists in this series always amaze me, but I particulary enjoy this one - these young men actually look like they are enjoying themselves.

hi there, thanks for the praise! I enjoyed the music so much I nearly fell asleep listening to the lads at 3.35mins!
The name of the hornpipe is not Cross the Fence, but simply Brendan McGlinchey’s even though it’s been called Cross the Fence for years. we checked this from a reliable source and we were told that Brendan in fact composed this tune for an all-Ireland fiddle competition because he couldn’t find a hornpipe that he liked. C
