Playing at the 6th Annual Paddy Killoran Festival in Ballymoate, Co. Sligo in June 2009 are the Kearns family: Cian on concert flute, Caoimhe on fiddle and their mother Fionnuala on keyboard. They play a selection of reels, the first one learned from the playing of Liz Carroll and the second is associated with Larry Redigan.

Anyone know the name of the 1st tune

Its called the Long note.

Title of the second tune is “Forget Me Not”: I believe it is usually played in the key of “C” (for all you fiddlers out there, it’s quite nice in this slightly “darker “ key). From the Larry Redican tunes I’ve seen, he seemed quite fond of less common keys like “C” and “F”, but most players nowadays tend to transpose these tunes up to the more sociable keys of “D” and “G”.
