00:00 A selection of reels from a stret session at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2001 in Listowel, Co. Kerry, with three fiddlers - the Keane sisters, Liz and Yvonne from Galway and Breda Smyth from another well known musical family in Co. Mayo.
02:23 Recorded at the 25th Cooley/Collins Festival Concert in Gort, Co. Galway on the 25th of October, 2009, two reels, ending with “The Moving Cloud” played by button accordionist John Regan. Piano accompaniment is by Patsy Broderick from Galway. John is a natice of Sligo, but has been living in Dublin for many years.
05:34 A group of Scoil Éigse Tutors at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2009 play two jigs - “The Mill Pond”, recorded by The Loughgill Quartet in 1941, and a jig often called “The North Clare Jig”. The musicians are - front row (l/r): fiddlers Paddy Ryan, Nicky McAuliffe, Kathleen Nesbitt and Connie O’Connell. Back row (l/r): Anne McAuliffe (flute), Mary Tisdall O’Sullivan (concertina), Nóirín Ní Shúileabháin (whistle), Mary Crowley (piano accordion) and Maria Lynn McHugh (piano).
07:52 Two Scoil Éigse Tutors at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2009 - uileann piper Brian McNamara (Leitrim) and Gráinne Hambly (Mayo) on harp. They play a very old air collected around 1700 called “The Glergy’s Lamentation”, followed by a slip jig often associated with New York fiddle player Larry Redican.
11:12 At Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2001 in Listowel, Co. Kerry, a street session featuring a selection of reels from fiddle player Oisín Mac Diarmada, Brian Fitzgerald on banjo and Seán McElwaine on bazouki.
13:35 Winning the All-Ireland Senior Fiddle title at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2001 in Listowel, Co. Kerry, Zoe Conway from Dundalk Comhaltas Co. Louth plays the multi-part reel “Jenny’s Welcome to Charlie”. Also included is the presentation by Joan Burke to Zoe with adjudicators John McEvoy and Donal O’Connor.
18:23 A selection of reel ending with “The Woman of the House”, played by fiddlers Eithne Ní Catháin and Afrik Boylan from Co. Kildare at a street session at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2001 in Listowel, Co. Kerry.
