You know, I wouldn’t say that bodhráns aren’t traditional - they’re among the oldest Irish instruments, after all! The problem seems to be finding players who don’t pound away too loudly, distracting from other players in the sesiún. I didn’t end up including any bodhrán players on the Foinn Seisiún recordings, though.

I didn’t notice any bodhrans in the last few tunes? Is that not traditional or just a late addition to Irish music?
