The “Music” section of our website brings you a small selection of what Comhaltas has been collecting since our formation. Perhaps you will find some of these items helpful in your own musical journey.

As members of the Irish traditional music community, we’d love to publish your pictures, tunes, recordings and videos. Of course, we’ll be sure to give you credit for any items you submit. From Pearl River, New York, Brenda Dowling-Kane plays an Ed. Reavy Reel - “The whistler of Rosslea” - in 15-18 Flute competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019 in Drogheda, Co. Louth. Brenda is a member of the Martin Mulvihill Comhaltas Branch in Pearl River.

All-Ireland Champion for 2011 on Concert Flute and Tin Whistle, Orlaith McAuliffe from London is joined by the McKee brothers from Derry - Stephen on Banjo and Eoin on Bodhrán, with Eddie Kane (Kildare) on Guitar, for a selection of 3 Reels - “Tommy People’s”, “The Long Drop” and “The Galtee Rangers”. Stephen and Eoin played with the Slieve Gallion Céilí Band (on Banjo and Drums) in Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2019. Incidentally, Stephen is playing the rarely-heard 22-fret Banjo, as against the more usual 19 fret.

Saskia Tomkins and Steafan Hannigan held fiddle, bodhran and whistle workshops, a Celtic Session, and a concert as part of a long weekend of music in Littlebourne and Faversham, near Canterbury, Kent. Tomkins and Hannigan are current and recent All Britain Fleadh winners for Fiddle (Slow Air), Uilleann Pipes, Flute, Whistle, and Bodhran.
