John was All-Ireland Champion for 1963 and plays “First Night in America” and “The Coming of Spring” (composed by Paddy O’Brien). Guitar accompaniment is by John O’Connor.

The late Florina Doyle from Castlebar, Co. Mayo, one of Joe Burke’s many pupils, played this selection of reels on the 14th of August, 2004. The tunes are “Last Night’s Fun” and “The Traveler”. Sadly, after a short illness, Florina subsequently passed away while still only in her teenage years.
