Selection of barn dances played at the Comhaltas 60th Anniversary Concert in Tullamore, Co. Offaly by Antóin Mac Gabhann from Co. Cavan, who was All-Ireland Fiddle Champion in 1971 and 1972. The tunes are “The New Broom” and “Down the Old Boreen”, both composed by Vincent Broderick. The concert, held on Saturday, 30th April, 2011 featured several All-Ireland Fiddle Champions from 1951 to the 1980s. Kieran Hanrahan (of RTÉ Céilí-House fame) was Fear an Tí.

Deridre was presented with a special commemorative medallion by fellow Sligo native Seamus McCormack, President of Comhaltas, as were all the other performers on the day.
