From the Scoil Éigse Tutors’ Concert at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2009, a selection of reels played by a group of the tutors. They play “The Moving Pint” and “Dog Big and Dog Little”, which were recorded by Frankie Gavin in the 1980s.
The tutors are: Pádraig McGovern from Co. Leitrim, pipes; Oisín MacDiarmada (fiddle) and Maíre NicDhiarmada (flute), both from Co. Sligo; Pádraig King from Co. Limerick, accordion; Sabina McCague from Co. Monaghan, fiddle; Maura Walsh form Co. Kerry, concertina and Eileen Gannon from St. Louis, Missouri, USA, on the harp.

The performers are: Eibhlín Ní Mháille (banjo), Edel McLoughlin (piano accordion) and Gráinne Hambly (harp), and the music was recorded in Tullamore, Co. Offaly in August 2008.

- An impromptu session with Sorcha Rooney (harp) from Sligo, Daire Mulhearn (button accordion) from Ennis, Co. Clare, Karen Hickey (fiddle), Fiachra O’Regan (uilleann pipes) and Pádraig O’Neill (fiddle) of Dublin.
- A group of tutors from the 2008 Scoil Éigse, including Sabina McCague (harp) from Co. Monaghan, Máire Nic Dhiarmada (flute) of Sligo, Pádraig McGovern (uilleann pipes) of Leitrim, Oisín MacDiarmada (fiddle) of Sligo and Pádraig King (button accordion) of Limerick.
- The Innisfree, Dartry and Naithí Céilí Bands, recorded at the Senior Céilí Band competition.
- Bronwyn De Paor and Edel Quinn in the Senior Fiddle competition.

A selection of jigs: “The Bluebells in Bloom” composed by Mike Dwyer, and “The Humours of Drinagh”, played by five of the tutors at Scoil Éigse 2008. The musicians are Sabina McCague (harp) from Co. Monaghan, Máire Nic Dhiarmada (flute) of Sligo, Pádraig McGovern (uilleann pipes) of Leitrim, Oisín MacDiarmada (fiddle) of Sligo and Pádraig King (button accordion) of Limerick. As well as being a member of the group “Téada”, Oisín is also leader of the Innisfree Céilí band, who won the Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2008.
The music was recorded in Tullamore, Co. Offaly in August 2008 at Scoil Éigse, an annual summer school attended by approximately 800 pupils from many parts of the world.

- The The Maids of Castlebar / The Swallow’s Nest

From the “Echoes of Erin 2008” Comhaltas Tour CD, Aonghus Buggie plays the reels, “The The Maids of Castlebar” and “The Swallow’s Nest” on banjo, accompanied by harper Cathy Potter.
The ‘Maids of Castlebar’ was recorded by Sligo fiddlers Paddy Killoran and James Morrison in the 1936 recording ‘From Ballymote to Brooklyn’ and has consituted part of what is considered to be ‘core repertoire’ ever since. ‘The Swallow’s Nest’ is a composition of the much reknowned accordion maestro and composer Paddy O’ Brien Co. Tipperary (1922-1991).
