Limerick on 2nd of February 2012, a selection of reels - “The Plough and the Stars” and “The French Canadian” - played by David Healy (accordion) and Kieran Flavin (concert flute). They are joined on bodhrán by Tadgh Conway from Tullamore, Co. Offaly, who happened to be a guest at the hotel.

A selection of slides recorded on the 2nd of February 2012 in Templeglantine in West Limerick by Bríd Murphy (fiddle), Willie Larkin (accordion) and Kieran Flavin (bodhrán). Willie has recently set up a new national scheme for the teaching of music in primary schools around the country - the Comhaltas Schools Outreach (CSO), the website www.schoolsoutreach.ie gives a very good outline of the scheme as well as a very enthusiastic endorsement by Minister for the Arts, Heritage and the Gealtacht Jimmy Deenihan. Incidentally Kieran learned his music at primary school where Willie was researching and developing the scheme on a pilot basis over the last six or seven years. Kieran has since won three All-Ireland titles on tin whistle. Interested schools and music teachers should refer to the website.
