A Cork Man, Two Cavan Men & a Puck Goat!

What a combination in this the first concert of the Leinster Fleadh on Monday, 7th July in the Mill Theatre, Dundrum Town Centre! Performers include top class traditional veterans, Cork’s Seán Ó Sé (Singer), Cavan’s Martin Donohoe (Accordion) and Seamus Fay Lilter. Guests include Clare’s Padraic O’Reilly (Piano) and Kavan Donohoe from Cavan on Harp. Seán had a long association with Seán Ó Riada, which began with their recording of An Poc ar Buile for Gael-Linn. He sang with Ó Riada on the Fleadh Cheoil an Radio programmes and on the TV show Aililiú. He is featured on many of Ó Riada’s recordings including Ó Riada sa Gaiety back in the 1960s Martin Donohoe as well as being a top class musician, festival organiser (Nyah amongst others) is also a composer. His hornpipe “An Pockar”, which appears in the current issue of Treoir, was written in honour of Seán Ó Sé and will no doubt be a highlight of the night. And what can anyone say about Séamus Fay who is without doubt King of the lilting world? Séamus was winning All-Irelands in this noble art decades before most of Monday night’s audience were even born! Clare’s Padraic O’Reilly is one of a small number of virtuouso performers on the piano as so ably demonstrated on his recent CD “Down the Ivory Stairs” This is guaranteed to be a great night of traditional Irish entertainment and more details can be found on the [concert website](http://comhaltas.ie/events/detail/sean_o_se_martin_donohoe_seamus_fay_in_concert/)
