COMHAIRLE NA MUMHAN C.C.E ==================== ADJUDICATORS TRAINING SEMINAR ======================= Comhairle na Mumhan CCE are organising a seminar for existing adjudicators as well as new adjudicators in both music and singing from the province of Munster This will take place during mid-term break on the weekend of February 16th – 17th in Colaiste Choilm/Oriel Hotel, Ballincolling, Co. Cork. Both new and existing adjudicators would find this course benefical. Experienced musicians from the age of 17 years upwards are encouraged to avail of this opportunity. The Seminar begins on Saturday Morning at 10 30a.m.followed by afternoon and evening sessions. Sunday will commence at 10 30a.m. and the final session will end at 4 p.m. approximately Among the aspects of adjudication covered at the seminar will be: – General Principles of Adjudication – Implications of adjudication, – The role of the adjudicator – Practical implementation – Practical Adjudication Sessions, etc. (solo instruments, as well as non solo competitions) – Amhránaíocht / singing will also be included Facilitators will include: – Pádraig Ó Riain (National Music Officer, CCÉ) – Siobhán Ní Chonaráin (Oifigeach Tionscadail CCÉ – Ceol, Oideachas agus an Ghaeilge) – Michéal Mac Aogáin (Ard Chomhairle/Coiste Ceoil CCÉ) – Séamus Mac Mathúna (Ard Chomhairle / Coiste Coiste Cartlainne CCÉ) Travelling expenses *may* be available from your local County Board If you are interested in adjudicating and would like to attend email your details to [email protected]_ and we will send you an application form Or contact your local County Secretary Closing Date – Jan 31st 2008 Please help spread the word by identifying any potential adjudicators in your own area/branch as it is vital to have a supply of experienced/qualified adjudicators for the Co.
