Saturday May 25th Special Guest : Elle Marie O’Dwyer
Elle Marie hails from the village of Freemount in North Cork where she attended the local Primary school. Well known musician Con Herbert was principal and on hearing her sing he encouraged her to attend singing classes with Deirdre Scanlon from Monigea. Under the tuition of Lena Bean Uí Shé from Cork city she won her first All Ireland u.18 in 2005. In 2006 she performed with the Comhaltas Concert tour of Ireland group. In 2007 she was on the Comhaltas tour of Britain , Canada and America. She also performed with the renowned Brú Ború group in Cashel. She sang for President Mary McAleese in Aras an Uachtaráin .She won the All Ireland Senior English Traditional Singing title at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Cavan in 2011.
