Leinster Fleadh Starts Today

It’s that time at last so let the festivities begin!! Yes the Leinster Fleadh has arrived and a great weekend of ceol, rince, amhrain agus craic is just about to begin
The Official Opening of Fleadh Laighean 2008 will be held in Amharclann Naithí - Ballinteer, Dublin at 8.00pm tonight (Friday 11th July). Music will be by Craobh Naithí and Ceoltóirí Óga Laighean.
Beidh Oscailt Oifigiúil na Fleidhe ar an Aoine 11ú Iúil ag 8.00 i.n. san Amharclann Naithí ,Baile an tSaoir.
Saturday night 12th July starting 8.00pm. There will be a night with Séamus McMathúna in the Taney Paris Centre with of some of the best of the old Gaelic songs as well as many popular lively songs.These include Peigín Leitir Móir,Mo Ghile Mear, Máire Mhór,An Puc ar Buile,Cóilín Phairic Shéamuis etc. N.B. Words of the lively songs will be given on a souvenir booklet to enable the audience to sing along.
Beidh oíche amhránaíochta le Séamus McMathúna sa Halla Pharóiste Taney ar an Satharn,12ú Iúil ag 8.00 i.n. Beidh slua-amhránaíocht agus amhránaíocht aonair againn. Beidh deis ag an lucht éisteacht bheith páirteach ins na h-amhráin rithimiúla. Cuirfear focla na n-amhrán ar fáil i leabhrán don ocáid.
There will be music, song and dance performances on Sat 12th and Sun 13th July in Dundrum Shopping Centre including performances from Fleadh competition winners from 12.30pm to 6.30pm.
