A local man named Martin Power from Ballycommon near Nenagh, who had a great interest in singing, met Nora one day after she had danced at a Feis. Martin told her that he had ‘a lovely song that would really suit her’. Nora went on to sing ‘An Buachaillín Donn’ on many an occasion all over Ireland,a song which had not been previously heard on a widespread basis.
