Participants at the [Meitheal Residential Summer School](/events/detail/meitheal_residential_summer_school_2007/ “Meitheal Summer School”) need to have at least four years playing experience and they savour a highly-enjoyable and fulfilling week of complete immersion in th emusic with plenty of informal sessions included. Concertina player Jack Talty (a nephew of the great Noel Hill) was one of the participants at the inaugural School in 2004. Jack plays 2 reels, “Feeding the Birds” and “Palmer’s Gate” which was composed by Joe Liddy and is our tutorial this week.
