Katie Crean, now Comhaltas Youth Officer for the [London Region](/locations/detail/london_region “London Region of Comhaltas”), played classical music in her early years and then took lessons on concert flute from Brendan Mulkere, developing a deep interest in traditional music and singing. On harp, Katie plays the very old air “The Gentle Maiden”. Her parents are from Tralee, Co. Kerry.
