Segment | Description —–|——– 00:00 | A fiddle duet by Rose Flanagan and Dylan Foley from New York, with guitar accompaniament by Donal Clarey, son of the legendary Liam Clarey of the Clarey Brothers. Dylan learned his music from Rose and her brother Brian Conway. At the end of the selection we see Donal’s wife Mary and their two young children together with Mary’s father, the legendary Mike Rafferty, who emigrated from his native East Galway in 1949. 02:51 | A solo by New York fiddle player Dylan Foley, who took 2nd place in the U-18 fiddle at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2007. Dylan plays two reels: “The Steeplehouse” and “Black Pat’s”. The music was recorded at the 2008 Comhaltas North American Convention. 05:25 | We present a set of jigs by the West Limerick family Mick (button accordion), Louise (flute) and Michelle (fiddle) Mulcahy, recorded at the West Limerick 102 FM Concert on 16th of November 2007. They play “The Shaskeen Jig”, “The Humours of Castlefin” and “The Templehouse Jig”. The CD and DVD of the concert will be launched on Sunday May 4th in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick — contact 069 66200 or 087 7500049 for details. 10:08 | Under its development strategy, Comhaltas has over several years been establishing Meitheal Regional Resource Centers around Ireland, each including performance theatres, tuition facilities, archives, etc. Recently in the Sligo Centre – the [Ceoláras Coleman in Gurteen](http://comhaltas.ie/locations/detail/coleman “Ceoláras Coleman Centre”) – we recorded the legendary Sligo fiddle and flute player Peter Horan and fiddle player Gerry Harrington playing these three reels: “The Trip to Portobello”, “The Old Blackthorn Stick” and “The Green Groves of Erin”. 14:28 | A concert flute solo by well known Sligo musican Peter Horan – who incidentally was a guest this year at the Comhaltas North American Convention in New Jersey. Peter plays an old two-part version of “The High Level Hornpipe”, normally played as a three-part. The tune was reputedly composed in the nineteenth century by Newcastle, England fiddler James Hill. Anyone have other information on this tune? He was recorded at the [Comhaltas Regional Resource Centre in Gurteen](http://comhaltas.ie/locations/detail/coleman “Ceoláras Coleman Centre”), Co. Sligo. 16:50 | Concluding the progamme, Sligo flute player Peter Horan teams up with fiddle player Gerry Harrington for the five-part jig, “The old grey goose”. Gerry, of course, is well known as an exponent of Sliabh Luachra music. They were recorded at the [Comhaltas Regional Resource Centre in Gurteen](http://comhaltas.ie/locations/detail/coleman “Ceoláras Coleman Centre”), Co. Sligo.
