A selection of barn dances played by Antón Mac Gabhann, the organiser of the annual Mullahoran concert, Co. Cavan on fiddle, together with his family: Caitlín on concertina, Bernadette on fiddle and Seán on button accordion. The first tune, “[The New Broom](http://comhaltas.ie/music/detail/the_new_broom “The New Broom – Sheet Music”)”, was composed by East Galway flute player Vincent Broderíck, who has been living in Dublin for many years where he is a member of the Cumann na bPíobairí Uileann branch of Comhaltas. The tune is also this week’s [tutorial](http://comhaltas.ie/music/detail/the_new_broom “The New Broom – Sheet Music”). The second tune is called “If There Weren’t Any Women in the World”. Both tunes are included in [Foinn Seisiún Book 3](http://comhaltas.ie/book3 “Foinn Seisiún 3 – Book”), which is a compilation of 108 session tunes put together into sets by fiddle payer Brian Prior and published by Comhaltas in 2007.
