Down in July 2004. 02:58 | The Howley brothers from County Galway, with Martin on banjo and David on guitar, play a set of reels: “The Flogging Reel” and “The Contradiction”. 05:13 | A set of jigs played on concertina by Kylie Moynagh of Dublin, who learned them from the playing of the group Turas. 08:27 | Dublin musician Kylie Moynagh continues on concertina with a set of reels, commencing with “Kitty Goes a’Milking”. 11:32 | Three Co. Clare musicians, Séamus Bugler on accordion, Mícheál O’Rourke on piano and Paddy O’Donoghue on flute play a set of jigs: “Scatter the Mud” and “The Luck Penny”. Mícheál is also an accomplished fiddle player, having won the All-Ireland Senior title in 2004. 14:30 | Recorded in Cavan on 8th December 2003, Darren Moloney plays three reels on banjo: “The Broken Pledge”, “The Whistler of Rosslea” (by Ed Reavy) and “The Piper’s Despair”. He is joined by John McCartan from Newtowngore, Co. Leitrim on guitar and Danny Mc Govern from Rostrevor, Co. Down on bodhrán.
