These tunes were recorded in Gerry’s hometown of Nenagh in October 2004, just after the release of his CD, “No Place Like Home.” His many fans will be delighted to hear that Gerry is finalising his next CD, which he hopes to launch in September. Uilleann piper Gabriel McKeown and his wife Mary (then on piano) were members of the Pipers’ Club Céilí Band who were the All-Ireland champions in 1975 and 1976. 07:27 | The “Galway Bay Hornpipe” played by Marion Collins, CCÉ Atha a Caoire, Cork at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2004, when she took second place in the Senior Fiddle competition. 09:22 | Competing at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2004 in Clonmel, the Bridge Céilí Band from Co. Laois play a set of jigs. The Bridge won All-Ireland titles in 1996 & 1997. 12:12 | From Cooraclare, Co. Clare, concertina player Rory McMahon with a set of reels: “The Drunken Landlady” and two McKenna’s reels. Rory learned a lot of his music from his uncle, the great concertina player Noel Hill. 15:39 | Multi-instrumentalist Aidan O’Neill from Trillick, Co. Tyrone plays the reel “Farewell to Ireland” on fiddle. Aidan won the All-Ireland title in Senior fiddle and came 3rd in senior button accordion in 2006, having won the senior concertina in 2004.
