The Awbeg Céilí Band from Newport, Co. Tipperary plays a set of reels: “Limerick Lassies” and “London Lassies”. The selection was recorded at the Senior Céilí Band competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, held August 2008 in Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Band members are: Maireád Fitzgibbon, Tara Breen and Aileen O’Callaghan, fiddles; Siobhán Hogan and Eamon Moloney, flutes; Brendan Clancy, banjo; Rory McMahon, concertina; Alan Finn, button accordion; Francis Ward, piano and Noel Clancy on drums.
