The Clare/Galway quartet of Eamon (flute) and Geraldine (piano) Cotter, Maeve Donnelly (fiddle) and Charlie Harris (accordion); play a selection of two jigs each, one known as the pipe on the hob. The first is a three-part, which is in O’Neill’s 1001 and was recorded by Tipperary accordionist Paddy O’Brien and also by piper Leo Rowsome, the second is a two-part and was recorded by Joe Burke and Andy McGann. This recording was made at the Cooley/Collins Festival Concert in Gort, Co. Galway on the 24th of October 2010.
