Offally. 18:45 | Uileann Piper Éanna Ó Cróinín, Rath Chairn, Co. Meath plays a selection of jigs – “Gallagher’s Jig” and “Fasten the Leggin”. The first jig is a very old piping version of “The Frieze Breeches”, which Séamus Ennis collected from Pádraig O’Keeffe. It is particularly suited to the ornamentation of the war pipes.
