Recorded in the Hershell Arms in Slough, London on the 15th of December 2012. 09:58 | All-Ireland Under-12 Fiddle Champion 2012 Senan Moran from Dysart, Portlaoise plays “The Knocknagow Jig”. Senan’s tutor is fiddle player Rhona Lynch and he also took first place in both the Harp Slow Airs and Accompaniment competitions. 12:34 | Uilleann piper Colm Connolly from Connemara and Ted Sergeant from Nova Scotia on guitar play a selection of reels ending with “Jenny’s Welcome to Charlie”. Recorded in December 2012 in the Hershell Arms, Slough, London. 17:13 | “Trim the Velvet” reel played by Feidhlim Mac Róibín from Kilteel/Eadestown CCÉ, Co. Kildare, who took second place in the Under-18 Flute Slow Airs competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉÍreann 2012 in Cavan. 19:15 | Recorded in October 2012 in the lovely city of Derry (which will for the first time host Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in August 2013) a duet by Mairéad O’ Connor (piano accordion) from Carndonagh, Co. Donegal and Caolan Hendron (banjo), Clonbrassil, Co. Armagh. They play two jigs – “Grogan’s” and “Dingle David”.
