At a session after taking 1st place in 15-18 Banjo and Mandolin competitions at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2017 in Ennis, Co. Clare, Thomas Aherne, CCÉ, Ballyduff B’vella Ballysaggart, Co. Waterford, plays a selection of Jigs on banjo – “The coming of Spring” (P. O’ Brien) and “The thrush in the straw”.
