Dungiven has been confirmed as the host town for Fleadh Uladh 2011, and plans are already underway to make it one of the biggest musical events in Co. Derry. The Fleadh committee have a huge variety of festive and musical activities throughout the eight day long Ulster Fleadh. It means a great deal for the local Comhaltas branch to be hosting the very first Ulster Fleadh in Dungiven, and they, along with the wider Dungiven community, are determined to put their own stamp on the event. Irish traditional music lovers have already started to get behind the committee, showing their support through the Fleadh Facebook ‘Get Tagging’ campaign. The committee have uploaded their photo archives that capture scenes from previous county fleadhanna held in the town over the years. Over 500 photographs have been tagged.
