Kilnaleck is home to County Cavan’s 2018 Fleadh Kilnaleck kickstarting from Friday 1st June to Monday 4th June 2018. Friday will be the opening day of the Cavan Fleadh with an U10 Tin whistle competition in Kilnaleck National School at 6:30pm and dancing competitions from 5:30 – 8:30pm followed by traditional pub sessions. There will be Fleadh competitions on both the Saturday and Sunday with Kilnaleck National School and Hall. Saturday night will host a Fleadh Céilí with Glenside Ceiliband from 9-12 followed by a pub session. On Sunday afternoon, there will be a special concert with Malachy Bourke and friends at 8pm at Kilnaleck Hall, again with pub sessions to follow. Monday will bring a day full of traditional gaeilge activity with Tráin Na gCeist, bingo as gaelige and rinci coiltianta ceili. There will then be a Fleadh roundup concert with Frankie Gavin who is the proud winner of 2018 gradam ceoil award and will be accompanied by special guests Malachy Rourke, The Bogue Family, Seamus Tierney and many more.
