The Féile Patrick Byrne is being held to honour the 19th century Monaghan harper Patrick Byrne, “the last of the great Irish harpers” and the first Irish traditional musician ever photographed. The festival will take place in and around Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. There will be workshops, sessions, the annual Patrick Byrne lecture as well as concerts featuring Seána Davey on harp and exciting new group Goitse.
