Ireland’s Fiddlers Green (John the Deego Kid, Danny Carthy & John McGarrigle) are featuring the songs of Ewan McColl in their live performance including - Dirty Old Town, Manchester Rambler, The Ballad of Springhill, Shoals of Herring, England’s Motorway, Go Move Shift, Sweet Thames Flow Softly - with the list being continuous.
The band will also feature two excellent Ireland’s Fiddlers Green CD’s released by Chart Label in 2014 titled - The Best of & Beautiful Bundoran – including quality songs like The Butcher Boy, My Own Dear Galway Bay, The Hills of Connemara, Step It Out Mary, Whiskey on a Sunday, Westering Home, Beautiful Bundoran and many more - and also featuring five of lead singer Danny Carthy’s original songs including Stand Look Around You, Carlingford, Little Balls of Twine, Punchestown Races and He Will be Remembered a tribute to Sligo flute player Josey McDermott.
Traditional music is also a feature of the recorded and live performance, but Ireland’s Fiddlers Green wish to ensure that good folk singing will continue into the foreseeable future
