The Leinster Fleadh will be held in Wicklow Town from July 10-12, 2009.
Concert
The opening concert consists of an extravangza of traditional music, song and dance featuring Eleanor Shanley, Ger Butler plus several All-Ireland champion musicians and dancers. This takes place on Friday night commencing at 8.00pm in the Dominican Convent, Fatima Hall.
Eleanor Shanley also appears on the Gig-Rig (Abbey Street) on Sunday from 7.00 to 9.00pm.
Competitions
The music, comhrá and singing competitions will be held on Saturday and Sunday commencing at 10.00 am on both days.
Other Activities
The weekend is packed with the best in traditional entertainment including pub sessions, céilí and set dancing, outdoor gig-rig entertainment, etc.
