Seán Ó Sé of “An Poc ar Buile” fame will perform in the Nyah Folk Club, Widows Bar, Belturbet on Sunday 7th December at 9pm
Celebrated Cork singer, Seán Ó Sé. who was born in Ballylickey had a long association with Seán Ó Riada in the 1960s, which began with their recording of An Poc ar Buile for Gael-Linn.
Together with the legend that is Seán Ó Sé, the night will consist of the presentation of songs in both Irish and English and good old style traditional music from Mickey Mc Donnell, Fintan Mc Manus, Seamus Fay and the Donohoe Family. Tickets €10 at door.
For those of you who can’t get to Belturbet, you’ll have another chance to see Seán Ó Sé on the upcoming Comhaltas Tour of Britain which visits 9 venues in England, Scotland and Wales between the 20th and 28th of February, 2009. You can also catch him in the Cultúrlann, Monkstown on Sunday, 15th February.
