This year, 2010, Scoil Cheoil na Botha, will take place in the village of Scotstown, Co. Monaghan on the 15th-17th of October. Events will include workshops, concerts, and sessions featuring some of the finest talent in Ireland. Tutition will be available in the following instruments - fiddle, banjo, flute, harp, uilleann pipes, button accordion, piano accordion, concertina and singing.
Workshop Tutors for 2010: Paul Finn (button accordion), June Mc Cormack (flute), Fionnuala Rooney (harp), Michael Rooney (concertina), Oisin Mac Diarmada (fiddle), Damien Mc Geehan (fiddle), Shane Greene (piano accordion), Conor Mc Cague (banjo), Martin Mc Cormack (uileann pipes), Shauna Mullin (singing) and Michael McCague (guitar). Students must bring their own instruments and should also bring pen and paper and a recording device. TÁILLE/ FEE: Ceardlann / Workshops - 20 euro (Family Discount available, price inclusive of lunch). Fee to be paid on morning of workshop.
There will be a céilí with Gerard Butler on Sunday in Urbleshanney Hall. Music will be from the All-Ireland winning Innisfree Céilí Band.
