The Heathery Breeze, a traditional Irish music and song programme presented by Paddy Ryan, goes out each Saturday night on Northern Sound Radio between 8.00 and 10.00pm.
Compiled, produced and presented by fiddle maestro, Paddy the programme features the very best of Irish traditional music and song. Listeners are kept up to date with news of current and forthcoming events in the world of traditional music, song and dance from our events diary. It also features field recordings of local musical events (concerts, Fleadhanna cheoil, music sessions, etc.) with emphasis on youthful talent. Archive recordings are featured from time to time as well as live music on air.
